I had graves dz and was treated years ago with Radioactive Iodine. I've been takin levothyroxine since 100mcg. My recent blood tests revealed low T4, so they reduced my dosage to 88mcg. Shouldn't the dosage have been increased???

Ummm... yes. It should have been increased if your FT4 was low - how low? Do you have the exact figure, and range? Does your doctor know anything about thyroid?

They shouldn't have reduced your dose. Get them to check your Free T3 or get it done privately. Details on Thyroiduk.org.uk.

They are more concerned with the whereabouts of the TSH rather than patients' symptoms.

I have a thyroid gland and only began to recover when T3 was added but am now on T3 only.

Yes. If your free T4 is low, you need more levo.
