After seeing 5 endos on the nhs with no help, I've decided to visit Belgium to see Benoit Poutet, one of Dr Thierry Hertoghe associate. I'm worried about the cost though. Has anyone else seen a dr from Hertoghe.

I typed Dr Hertoghe into the Search Box above - and 148 previous mentions appeared. Hopefully you will find some valuable information. I do believe the last comment I read here was not that favourable. As Galathea has mentioned - people here will be able to help. We are always here - it's more than one appointment too
A friend of mine contacted his practice about a year ago to see if it would be possible to get an appointment. She was told that Dr. H himself is no longer seeing patients on a regular basis, but that it would be possible to see him once upon request. That single visit would cost her 2000€. Other doctors in his practice charge around 200€ per visit, but to that you have to add very expensive lab analyses - many of which are not reimbursed by health insurance (such as DHEA, growth hormone and many others)...and it seems the tests that are not reimbursed are the most expensive ones. Also, NDT is not reimbursed in Belgium (or any other country that I know of), and neither are DHEA, growth hormone or even testosterone I believe. So if you go down that road, you have to be prepared to pay for a lot out of your own pocket. In Belgium a visit to a GP is reimbursed based on what an ordinary GP is supposed to charge, which is about one tenth of what the doctors in H's clinic charge. This means that only a fraction of what H's clinic charges is reimbursed, plus you have to be prepared to pay for some of the lab analyses and drugs out of your own pocket as well.
I will send you a PM with detailed comments.
