T3 works for some, but is a disaster for others. Too much T3 causes severe memory loss for me. What problems are you having? Have you seen this page? tiredthyroid.com/rt3.html

Have you ever tried taking only T4? Did you have a bad reaction or never tried it?

yh i feel the worse i've ever been. right now i feel dead i'm struggling to sit at the pc but thanks for your message i guess i'm going to have to lump it for now.:( it seem even if i raise my dose high i don't get hyper symptoms so it must be that rt3 blocking it maybe.

iv'e been on t3 for 12 days i started on 6.5 2 times a day but right now i'm up to 12.5mcg 3 times a day

is that enough to supress my tsh?

that seems a a lot i know i have rt3 but i also think its pooling my blood cause of high t3 level and when i tested i was only on a 1.5 grain of ndt.that amount sounds scary to me lol i guess ill just raise every week or somethink.

isnt the rt3 going to go down as the levels of t4 drop, no matter what dose your on? i know your own thyroid will still make it but it will go down.

Hi Mark, how have you got on? Just reading your post now and hoping you're feeling better than you were.

I too have high revT3 presently and have done in the past. Mine's been caused by a build up of excess T4 in the past and not converting the T4 to T3 sufficiently. I'm wondering if this is what happened to you? I too have been on NDT and introduced some extra T3, once I went over 2.5mcg of extra T3 I felt terrible on this combo. I'm now having a break from the meds (as any are making me feel worse now as my system's in a pickly) to allow the levels to drop and will trial the T3 again with no NDT or a much smaller dose. Rather a gamble which I hate. :-(
