I'm thinking over medicated too.

I don't know what your regime has been or how long you've been on T3 only?

But your symptoms sound exactly the same as mine when I was over medicated. I felt desperately poorly.

i was on 62.5mcg in november and endo dropped me to 40mcg, started feeling really ill so decreased to 20mcg for a while, then endo wanted me on 60mcg due to low t4 (stupid woman) so ive worked up to where i am now and feel like im dying

i did start to feel ok

ill drop my dose tomorrow and see

unless my adrenals are screwed again

If you felt over medicated at 40 mcgs I don't understand why you have continued to increase the dosage?

It is possible to raise too quickly. Before the body has adjusted and I suspect this is what you've done. Even though T3 is fast acting it still takes 4 to 6 weeks for things to levels off.

I would lower your dosage and hopefully someone else with T3 experience will chime in soon.I don't think this is adrenals. Please don't self medicate. at least it will be out of your system soon. Usually 3 to 4 days completely but you should feel an improvement within 24 hrs.

Hopefully someone else will chime in soon.

fingers crossed its better tomorrow

i never do well on thyroid meds for long periods of time

Mandy if you had a true adrenal problem you wouldn't be able to handle 10 mcgs of T3 because it is too strong.

Very often in our haste to get better we raise our doses too quickly and frankly go passed the Sweet Spot.

Remember this is not a drug. It is a replacement hormone. One your body makes and needs.

You would do well to lower the dosage and then increase slowly every 4 weeks. Any faster and you will probably end up in the same state again.

This has happened to me.

I know how strong T3 is and an extra 10mcgs that I didn't need gave me the most horrific week that I can remember. I literally couldn't leave my bedroom. My symptoms were accompanied by psychological disturbances too so please proceed a little more carefully.

You will find your right dosage.

My endo considers 5mcgs of T3 to be equivalent to 19.5 mcgs of T4 and I would suggest that he is about right.

Don't worry. Sit it out. You will feel a lot better in the morning.

I would miss a day completely just to let your nervous system calm down a bit then resume at a lower dosage.

if you are on t4 also, i would lower the t4 dosage, before i touched the t3. I had to get to nearly 0 t4, before i could tolerate a normal dose of t3...
