What's your thyroid history and what meds are you on?

Your TSH was 589, and now it's 165? So you're taking something? What are you taking?

I'm afraid people need more detail to be able to help you.

What happened at the hospital?

If your TSH is coming down, I don't think there's any danger of myxœdema coma. But it's quite understandable that you are confused and dizzy. There's not a lot you can do about it except keep taking whatever your doctor gave you, and rest as much as you can.

Take care. :)

What does the doctor say about these numbers? As gg said s/he must have put you on something, however, depending upon how long you have been on that med, it looks as if you need more of it. If your doctor doesn't have much idea about your condition, get another doctor, fast. Many of us have to change doctors and/or Endos for far less than what you are dealing with. Your body is screaming for thyroid hormones. Do write back I am dying to know how this awful situation sorts itself out, I wish you all the best.

You obviously need more thyroid hormone. What doses were you taking to get these results? It was not enough! I would change doctors immediately.

You can't make a sweeping statement like that its ridiculous and dangerous! ! The doctor is treating the problem as her levels are dropping, giving too much medication too soon can have dire consequences, and for most people changing doctors ( especially if you are in the UK) isn't easy.

Until we have the full history we can't really give any advice,

Am so sorry to hear about your thyroid. It must be a bit scary. You don't say what the doctors put you on but am guessing it was levothyroxine?

Your TSH level has dropped dramatically in a month but it still has a way to go. Your doctor will have to be careful that they don't give you too much too soon as your body's systems need to be addressed slowly. This probably means they will keep reviewing your dose slowly increasing it. It is going to take time. You need to rest and be kind to yourself. This is a condition that whilst, like yours, is in the process of being treated can make you feel extremely ill until your thyroid levels are sorted out and the right medication and dose is found for you. Tell your GP about your symptoms and ask for advice.

Give yourself time. Time for others to look after you. Slowly you will start to feel a bit better but this is going to happen over months not days as you are already beginning to realise....doesn't mean to say you won't get better though.

Big hugs xxx
