Anxious this morning. My pride and joy which is my hair is thinning badly behind my ears. Is this normal? For under active thyroid?
Felt real low today without the shock of this. Trying to smile it's hard. Emotions are all ready all over the place. I know it sounds stupid and vain but I'm a person that struggles with change and there is so much of it at the mo, I feel like I'm drowning

I can sympathise with you and, yes, it can be a clinical symptom of hypothyroidism and it can also be a side-effect of levothyroxine. On the following link you can select a few topics. Stopthethyroidmadness is a popular website.
I'm not on medication as off yet. I found that out after my next blood test in 4 weeks or was told to what and see. It's all really getting me down though. That I know. Thank you for the information
O.k. for your next blood test, it should be the earliest possible and don't eat before it but you can drink water. The reason is that most doctors only take notice of the TSH result and it's highest early a.m.
If you are given levothyroxine eventually, you allow 24 hours between the last dose and the test and take it afterwards. I shall give you a list of clinical symptoms and I do know most doctors don't consider them important nowadays and have replaced the blood test alone as a definite. This is for hypothyroidism symptoms:-
You can tick and show to GP. If healthy we should not have any symptoms.
This link shows that we can be hypothyroid even if TSH is below the top of the range and we wouldn't be diagnosed. Many doctors don't test anything other than TSH and/or T4. So you can also discuss with your GP and I hope he/she is amenable but they have to follow 'guidelines'.
Also ask for Vit B12, Vit D, iron, ferritin and folate. If GP wont test Free T4 and Free T3 you can get them done by a recommended lab with a small discount.
I did that tick list and have about 75% ticked. I will push for blood test now, I don't see why 2 Drs and the hospital have opposing time limits of next blood test but what with taking 18 pain killers a day just so I can work I feel enough is enough. It's dragging me down. Vit D3 I take and have for several years.
