Results

Hello, I have just received blood results. I'm taking 50mcg levo thyroxine for 6 weeks and I would appreciate advice on my results please.

TSH 0.11mU/L 0.35 - 5.50mU/L

Did they not test Free T4? How are you feeling?

Aspmama, no T4 result, don't know why it wasn't checked! Not feeling good...

Throat is hoarse...feel like I have a constant virus, sneezing. I see my GP on Fri...do you think I should ask about T4 test?

Well the proper mob will soon arrive and give you real advice. In the meantime let me echo what they say and give my own experience. Your tsh is good, and it may be that your symptoms will improve in time, because they follow the blood work. Really though you need to see your FT4 and FT4 and a number pf nutrient levels to know what is going on, esp ferritin, folate, b12 D. Did yr gp test yr antibodies ever? She might test T4 if you ask nicely... you can get private blood tests and that moght be worth considering in a month or so because the nhs will probably not test r T3.
