What do you mean by sensitivities? Do you mean intolerances? Do you mean allergies?

Yeah intolerance/sensitivity- I'm not allergic to anything πŸ‘πŸΌ

There aren't any that are reliable.

You have to do an elimination diet followed by reintroduction if there are no obvious symptoms such as passing wind then having diarrhoea within a couple of hours of eating the offending food.

In fact I know with myself and others who have intolerances it was other people who pointed out various things before we had acute symptoms.

I personally wouldn't go looking for intolerances as it makes your life difficult.

For example if you eat out in a group you are always looking for the one dish you can eat, people think you are rude for refusing to eat their food if they cook for you, and if they are cooking for a larger number of people some will not cater any replacements unless you prove that you aren't making it up.

If you don't want to eat certain things because you think it's unhealthy or detest the taste/texture then just don't eat them.

There are various tests, but according to everything I've read, testing is unreliable and tends to pick up sensitivities to whatever you have eaten in the days before the test. The gold standard is an elimination diet. Paleo Autoimmune also worth looking at:

Yeah I think I'll have to go the Autoimmune approach, I'm already Paleo and definitely don't get as many symptoms - bloating being the main one but I think I might have 1/2 more sensitivities.

Thanks for the response πŸ‘πŸΌ

Be careful with IgG testing for food allergies, it reliability is widely disputed.

What would u recommend?

Sorry for the late reply - IgG is used by some labs to test for food intolerance. As Josiesmum mentions there are issues with this. Allergies are a different thing, if you wanted to test for allergies the it is an IGE test that is needed.

Not what you're looking for?
