elvera,

LOL ... don't we have enough already, without having to think some up ? ..

What blood tests are you looking to have ?

just stuff like electrolites, potassium, urea, alkaline, protien, nutrients

elvera,

It is true that poor absorption due to insufficient stomach acid can induce low electrolytes levels and they are vitally important but your doctor probably won't believe the low thyroid hormone//gut connection.

If you haven't had these tested for some years, it would be acceptable to explain you don't feel well and request these blood tests.

i have recently been looking up price of antibodies test and its quite expensive plus i would have to travel to get a blood draw..now that a nure is coming here can you think of an excuse why i would need an antibodies test. to tie in with electrolites etc... the reason i wanted the antibodies test was to find out if i had autoimmune thyroid probs

Ask for thyroid antibodies to be tested to ascertain whether you have Hashimotos Autoimmune Disease or not.

Considering how unwell you have been feeling, again this is a reasonable request.

Good luck.

Just ask the nurse.. On a couple of occasions, I have ask the nurse to add a couple ticks for other test to the paperwork the Doctor gave me..she did .

Depends what tests you want. Dizziness and fainting, fatigue, constant constipation or diarrhea, persistent headaches, breathlessness, palpitations, eye pain, burning feet with tingling and numbness - why not just tell him what you are suffering from?
