Please could you pm me if you have seen an endo ideally on the bupa list in the above areas that you recommend. I'm struggling to take levo without side effects and I'm not sure if it's levo or low ferritin that's causing the issue so particularly love to hear from anyone who had similar issues and the endo they saw. Thanks so much.

Olsbird,
Email louise.warvill@thyroiduk.org.uk for a list of member recommended endos. You'll have to cross check yourself whether any are on the BUPA approved list.
If ferritin is low it can make people feel hyper and hypo at the same time. It's not likely to improve until you improve ferritin levels by supplementing iron. Take 500mg-1,000mg with each iron tablet to aid absorption and minimise constipation.

You can also ask your pharmacist for an alternative make to the Levothyroxine you are currently taking as different makes may be more tolerable. There are 3 generic makes, Mercury Pharma 25/50/100mcg, Actavis (also known as Almus) 50/100mcg, and Wockhardt 25mcg.
Thx clutter. I thought the list was only gp s but I will check it again. Long story short. Thx to this forum know ferritin is an issue which I've tried and failedd to discuss with 4 GPS ( had to do own blood test and it was 8.8). They either looked at me blankly or told me my haemoglobin was ok . dr no 4 (4 months of trying to discuss ferritin) prescribed ferrous fumerate (2 weeks ago). But they've no clue about my horrid side effects or the need for good ferritins relationship to levo so agreed to refer me to endo. As they're useless I dont want a crap endo as well!! Thx for replying
