I have Hashimoto's, Psoratic Arthropathy, Lymphocytic Colitis. One son has severe Psoriasis, another is Coeliac ( as is my husband) and also has asthma and hayfever and suffers from depression. My mum had Antiphospholipid Symndrome. All autoimmune disorders. Clemmie

Sorry, not sure this helps, but I am also antinuclear antibody positive, and despite being tested negatively for lots of apparently associated nasties, I still don't fully understand what it all means despite asking for more information from numerous doctors, so a forum would be of interest.

I do have symptoms of vitiligo and have been told it's caused my hypothyroidism (but that it's not hashi's).

Kiwidel thanks for the response. I have never tested pos for ANA. i have more than 1 condition they know about so far, testing for more but still negative on that. Vitiligo? Not familiar, but my mom has vertigo. I am sure trying to get a community started for this sort of thing may not get people in treated as just throwing it out into certain communities. I am definitely interested in starting a community for parents whom have a child with auto immune, but i tried multiple times and it would not allow me. hoping someone can help with this.

Vitiligo is a loss of pigmentation in the skin - think Michael Jackson, although mine only really shows up when I have managed to catch some sun. Apparently it can be an autoimmune issue and has been linked to thyroid problems. Good luck setting up the group!
