Combined or only t3

I was mild depressed before I started to take levothyroxine. Now I am with suicidal thoughts after having the only t4 med!

Now, which one would be better for me--Combined t4 & t3 or t3 only? I am on 75 mcg of Levo daily.

I don't think anyone can tell you which will best suit you. I had a problem with T4 only but adding T3 and taking the combination is fine for me. Others are unable to tolerate any amount of T4 and do better on T3 only. Perhaps you could try T4+T3 combination for a few weeks and if that doesn't suit try T3 only.

if you have hashimotos, you can put it into remission and get off meds..according to functional medicine..which is what i am doing. This makes more sense to me than focusing on thyroid meds. T3 only, would be best if not converting the levo, at least temporarily until you focus on healing the immune system and getting rid of food triggers of your condition. Grains and dairy cause lots of depression..so common.
