Hi, I am 35 years old and my bio chemistry result has come as FT4 0.79( range 0.58 -1.64)NGOs/dL and TSH 5.93( range adults 0.34-4.5) ulU/mL. What should I expect when I meet the Doctor???

A prescription for levothyroxine.

Try to persuade the doctor to test for antibodies so you know whether you have autoimmune thyroiditis (Hashimoto's disease) because if you do going gluten free will help.

I got my TPA test done and the result is 766.58

Normal is not the same as optimal. Normal just means in range. Your FT4 is in range, but far from optimal. It should at least be ove mid-range.

You are hypo. And I hope your doctor prescribes Levo for you. A starter dose is 50 mcg, but some of them try to fob you off with 25. That's too low.

Thanks Grey. Before going to endo, I got a re test done including TPA.. The results came as FT3-- 2.28(range 1.71-3.70 pg/ml), FT4-- 1.04( range 0.89-1.76ng/do),TSH-- 6.78(range o.35-5.5ulU/mL), TPA Ab --766.58(range Upto 5.61 IU/ml), HCG-- less than 1.2(range non pregnant <5mIU/ml)...

Well, your TSH is well over range, and your Frees are under mid range, and you have Hashis - although he probably won't call it that - so, hopefully, he will put you on 50 mcg Levo. But there's no telling how well up he is on thyroid, so in reality, anything could happen.

Thanks Grey, can u be more specific on anything could happen...

I'm afraid not. It all depends on the endo himself. They're all different. He could just dismiss your results, or he could take them seriously. He could just say 'wait and see'.
