In regards to T4, NDT and T3 how long do you have to take a dose for your body to rely on it?
What I mean is in the case of finding it difficult to increase a dose and you had to stop after e.g. two weeks would you become more hypo than you were? Or does it take longer for your body to "settle" on that dose?
If you can't tolerate the dose increase you won't become any more hypo than when you introduced the dose increase. Perhaps you could try a smaller dose increase, say 25mcg Levothyroxine alternate days for a couple of weeks which may be more tolerable than an immediate 25mcg dose increase.
If you are taking any thyroid med presumably you will only increase dose because symptoms become worse. if you increase dose for 2 weeks and it resolved symptoms and then you went back to the previous dose you'll become symptomatic again.
Your thyroid does not respond to being overdosed nor underdosed, increases must be tried slowly on a low dose until optimal, (no symptoms ) if you stop taking it you will just go back to being symtomatic.
