Hi all. Anyone split their levo dose down into morning and evening and found this helpful? I'm really struggling with side effects when I'm taking 50 mcg in one go and thinking of trying to split the dosage into morning and evening to see if that helps does anyone else do this and find it helps or anyone have view about whether it will work or not in terms of reducing side effects also anyone know how many hours you have to leave after eating\drinking before you should take an evening dose.
My issues are long.....I just posted another question about levo and iodine which explains fully if anyone interested in the background
Thanks all xx

Hi Shaws. You (and clutter) are my two special faves on this site 😂. The latest test I had was a private one about a month ago when I was suffering on 50 day. Thanks to earlier advice I hadn't taken my levo before and the results were
Tsh 2.8 (.270-4.20)
T4 12.56 (12-22)
T3 3.6 (3.1-6.8)
Folate 14.8 (4.6-18.7)
Ferritin 8.8 (13-150)
B12 686 (191-663)
Vit d 26.5
Zinc 20.1 (11-24)
Magnesium 0.74 (0.70-1.00)
Selenium 1.3 (0.89-1.65)
Subject to any other thoughts I think my plan is keep taking iron and vit d supplements. I feel like my side effects from the last foray into 50 are almost gone so I will wait till Monday then start taking the mercury pharma levo 25s which don't make me Ill in alternate days of one tablet and one and a half and see how that goes. I feel that hedges my bets if I assume the 50 causes me problems either due to dosage (as I will be on less than 50) or problems due to fillers \ brand as the 50 making me Ill was almus brand.
I split my levo dose and find I feel much better when I do so. Can't explain it but I've done experiments where I've tried to take my dose all at once and after a few days I start to feel horribly unwell until I go back to splitting. I take 50 mg in the morning and 75 mg around 5:00pm. I also split dose my time-release thyroid extract (T3). Again, can't provide logical explanation and neither can my endo but I do what works for me.
