I'm 33 and went hyper after my sons birth in 2007. Then hypo where I've stayed.. Been on Levo 200mcg since, I've been training about 5 days a week, mostly cardio. Recently I've been getting old symptoms 😒 Feeling hot, getting sweats during the night, totally anxious, that horrible feeling of doom & that I'm worried about something but I don't know what, I feel exhausted, I will wake up in the morning and don't feel rested at all! Also get that I'm starving I need to eat now!!!
So my question is I'm gettin bloods done end of the week, but until then do you think I sound hyper?? My training has maybe pushed me over and I require less thyroxine or do I require more?
As far as I know b12 etc are all ok, but I will ask for that to be tested too.

The term "over exercise " comes to mind. If you do a lot of high density /high sone training when hypo Your adrenals could Get overloaded. It will give the same symptoms as hyper. Rest for a couple off weeks and see if this is getting better.
Thanks, I've been doing it for 6 plus months, just wondered if the exercise had speeded up my metabolism & possible weightloss resulting in needing less thyroxine.
Exercise uses up your T3, so would make you more hypo, and therefore you metabolism would go slower, not faster. Have you had your FT3 tested? Anxiety is a hypo symptoms as well as a hyper symptom. Do you have Hashi's?
Hi Carrie, I run a lot and sometimes this causes me to crash when I overdo it (I'm still trying to find the right dose to prevent this). As I understand it, exercise uses up T3 so a person *could* need more, although if you're on the right dose I think that shouldn't happen. However, there is a lady in my running group who had Graves when she was younger, had her thyroid removed and now takes levo - she is training for a marathon and has reduced her dose (she felt like it was too much and this was confirmed by a blood test). She is the only person I've heard of where that's happened, but she says training does speed up her metabolism. Maybe if your adrenals are in good nick that's what can happen. Sorry, not sure if that's helped or not but I'd say sit tight until you've had your bloods done as that should give you a clearer picture - make sure they do FT4 and FT3 as well as TSH, if you can.
Thanks when I worked out before I was on 150 & had to drop to 125. My doesn't doesn't test or give out T3 and it's the only surgery in my town. I do know from a test done at hospital I convert well. I'll see if this helps and what my bloods say.. Which have now been changed to the 26th which means I won't know results till the following wk!! I hate this. Can't do right for doing wrong.
