Any experience with Home Test Kits?

Hello,

My GP doctor is reluctant to do all my thyroid tests. Can anyone tell me if the home test kits are any good or can recommend a company that does them?

Thank you!

Hi briskate - I'm assuming you're in the UK, in which case a lot of the folks on the forum here use Blue Horizon for their private thyroid and other tests.  I've used them a number of times personally and found their service is brilliant.  You have the choice of a finger prick test (I can never bleed enough for that one) or for a full sized vacutainer to get a blood draw done.  They also offer pricing for having the blood draw done at certain hospitals.  I've usually had my results within two days of sending the sample in.
