I've always had a superb service from MMH for thyroid home tests and results, until now. I ordered a test on 11/3/24, they usually arrive in 2-3 days if not earlier. After a week and still no test I emailed and asked if they would send another, they replied saying the normal time is 10 working days from dispatch so I still haven't got the test. Has anyone else had this problem?

I only ordered the one time and it was overall a poor experience. That did happen to me as well.

Thank you Obsidian, this is the first time I've had any problems, they've always been really efficient before this.

'10 working days from dispatch '

It's quite a while since I bought a kit from MMH, but I'm sure it typically arrived within a couple of days of ordering.

However, see attached screenshot from the RM website. If MMH send by 2nd class mail, this is perhaps where the 10 days comes from. What it means is that MMH cannot claim postage for undelivered mail from RM until the allotted time has passed. Hence MMH will be reluctant to send out a new kit before then.

Thank you RedApple, yes, typically a couple of days to arrive and a 24hr turnaround on results, the service was always good. Your explanation makes sense but that's a really poor service, medichecks sent out another test when theirs didn't arrive. I suppose I'll just have to wait.

I totally understand your frustration, especially if you have planned the day that you want to do your test on, but then find you can't because the kit has been lost in the post.

I have been using MMH quite a lot and when I ordered, the kit was either dispatched on the same day or the next day the latest. I think it is actually Royal Mail that can hold up the delivery and even their tracked delivery is very poor these days.

They are very fast on the turn around when they receive the sample. When I post the samples, I usually get a notification around midday the next day that they have arrived and in the late afternoon, I usually have the result, so quite efficient!

Yes, their turnaround is excellent and dispatch has always been efficient too.

In the past they have come really quickly - next day or a couple of days at the most but the last test I ordered took quite a while to arrive - not nearly as long as it took for yours to arrive but definitely longer than normal - certainly long enough for me to notice that it hadn’t arrived. I tend to think it was most likely down to Royal Mail.

I've always found MMH good.

This week I ordered a test on Sunday evening, it came on Tuesday, I did it and posted it on Wednesday, and the results came on Thursday morning- can't get any better than that!

I have ordered a test from them. Can you get a nurse to draw blood through them or arrange one yourself? I cannot do the prick test I am not a good bleeder for some reason.
