Is it normal for hashimotos to cause the thyroid to have many micro nodules?

Thyroid nodules
Yes - I have many and I presume they are still there. I was diagnosed on 2005 ....
Thanks, Marz. Is it also normal to have a goiter? Mine is is slightly larger than it was some months back and the two times I've gone for an ultrasound, they've discovered new micronodules! I'm rather concerned.
Please do not be concerned - I believe it is common with Hashimotos to have a textured thyroid - probably more Harris Tweed than Silk !!
Yes a goitre is normal too - however you may find once on treatment it may calm down and reduce in size. I was very aware of my throat before diagnosis and treatment. Only aware now when I am really tired - like now ! I live in Crete so we are two hours ahead .....
What treatment are you on ?
Thank you. I'm not currently on any medication as my TSH has been normal (albeit fluctuating within the range and only slightly out of it once) and the doc wasn't keen to start me on levothyroxine yet. FT3 4.53 (range 3.80 - 6.00) and FT4 10.82 (7.86 - 14.41), but antibodies for A-Tpo at over 1,300! FT4 10.82 (7.86 - 14.41).
