T3 taken 3x daily

On the last visit to my consultant, he suggested I take the 30mg of T3 3 times a day, instead of 2.

Surely this won't change my results? I'd been hopeful he might have increased it some.

Thanks in advance of any replies ✋🏼

Suin,

Taking T3 once or multiple times daily won't change the FT3 level but 2 or 3 x daily dosing will even out the peaks and troughs experienced when dosing 1 x daily.

Thank you clutter,

I'd not really noticed any dips from twice daily, so not sure what he's thinking.

🤔

Suin,

There is a physiological response whether you feel it or not.  Have a look at the graph in this link tiredthyroid.com/blog/2015/...

My endo is happy for me to split 30mcg T3 x 2 daily but when I was taking 60mcg I was asked to take 20mcg x 3 daily.

1x per day is best according to Dr. John Lowe, who used it to "cure" fibromyalgia patients..

Thanks faith, my endo mentioned in passing, that I could possibly have " a touch of fibro going on"

🙄! Why did dr John Lowe feel once a day helped better?

He said it was the only way it worked at all..it saturates the cells, rather than having it drizzle in.  He had his patients take ndt that way too.  The manufacturers of both drugs, have designed it to be taken 1x daily as well.

What about the short lifespan? 🌻

t3 has a half life of 1.5 days, so 1 pill will effect  your cells,, anywhere from 1 to 3 days..  it is not as short lived as most think.
