I've just had my thyroid peroxidase autoantibody test results back stating 10 range 0-0.0. Can anyone advise me what this means? As I'm not due to see my doctor til next week. Thanks

MissFG,

Thyroid peroxidase 10 in range 0-0.0 means antibodies are positive for autoimmune thyroid disease (Hashimoto's) which causes 90% of hypothyroidism although it may take many years before thyroid levels become abnormal.  100% gluten-free diet may improve symptoms and reduce antibodies.
