Carbimazole causing hypo symptoms

Hello I'm looking for advice. I started carbimazole just over 5 months ago for a slightly overactive thyroid... T4 borderline high and iodine uptake slightly high. I was due to stop it in a couple of weeks anyway but became unwell with a kidney infection and various symptoms. My blood test now showed my tsh at the higher end. Will stopping carbimazole lower the tsh or will I now be dealing with hypothyroidism? I have booked an appointment with an endocrinologist as I found out today that mine has retired, typical!!

TSH will drop when Carbimazole is stopped or dose is reduced.
