Hashi's is short for Hashimoto's Disease - its proper name is Autoimmune Thyroid Disease and I'll give you a couple of links for info:

We must have antibodies to have a Hashi's. Hashimotos is the most common of the thyroid gland diseases. The antibodies attack the gland and eventually the person becomes hypothyroid.
