T3 to T4

Hi,

Just wondered if anyone could help on the dosing of T3, I was on 100mg of t4 for many years, which didn't help much, now I am on T3 but unsure what the equivalent would be. I am taking 25mg of T3 but feel I could go up, any help would be appreciated.

Juliebuzz1, if you post your recent thyroid results with ranges (figures in brackets after results) it will help members advise.

25mcg T3 is equivalent to 75mcg T4 but you should make sure FT3 is within range before increasing further.

Hi,

Unfortunately my doctor only test is tsh, so not sure how I could get that information, I haven't had a blood test since being on T3, not good I know but dont know how to go about getting a full thyroid profile.
