Would welcome your thoughts. Started on NDT (Nature Throid) via private prescription & private endo in December. Her started me on 1.5 grains. Over Christmas lots of hypo symptoms back so increased to 2 grains. This week have lots of pins and needles in hands and forearms overnight, some leg pain and suddenly with no warning (I am 47) have period late by 6 days having been regular as clockwork to the hour for periods my whole life (3 children). Hypothyroid diagnosed since 1999 - probably undiagnosed since 1997. Both my mother and her mother (both hypothyroid) had menopause in late 50s.
So am I undertreated or am I mixing peri menopause symptoms with thyroid symptoms? I am due blood test soon but want to be on right dose asap.
Thanks

Tantemimibus, best thing would be to get a thyroid blood test now to see whether you are sufficiently medicated on 2 grains. I would also check B12, folate and vitamin D. Pins and needles in hands, arms and feet can be due to low B12, and musculoskeletal pain can be due to low vitamin D.
