Please comment on my blood test results: I have Grave's antibodies but sub clinical hyperthyroidism. Still waiting for latest results from hospital and GP.

Susiebertie, TSH and FT4 are euthyroid so you appear to be optimally medicated on Carbimazole.

Total cholesterol is mildly elevated.

CA125 10.4 means you are negative for ovarian cancer.

Your liver, bone and calcium results are within normal range. labtestsonline.org.uk explains what the tests are for.

Gosh Clutter - I'd absolutely love that cholesterol score ;)

Fruitandnutcase, having read Dr. Kendrick's blogs I'm not convinced it matters what the cholesterol result is.

I know, I keep telling myself that. I was rummaging through my blood test paperwork looking for something else and noticed when I was first diagnosed with Graves my cholesterol was 4.1! An absolute record for me - think it's over 6.0 now. I just think 'well if they lowered my TSH, then they'd lower my cholesterol too' Probably not the right attitude but that's it.

Hello Susiebertie, sorry I am nowhere near as knowledgeable as others on this site.

The Carbimazole that I was prescribed for my hyperactive condition helped me and I had almost no side effects which was a bonus. I hope your GP or Endo will help you.
