Hi Elliemay
Are you able to get the ranges for your thyroid test and are you taking any thyroid medication? If you are able to post this information others may be able to better advise you.
I've been taking 75Mg Thyroxine for about 10 years and any blood tests were
ok then the last one I got a message to see the doctor about the result.
When I saw him he said it was fine then finished by saying I could take 2 tablets instead of 3 if I wanted to and gave me the two results only
think I may see another doctor I feel ok it's just when I got a message to see
him that never happened before.
Hi Elliemay
Are you taking 3 x 25mcg levothyroxine a day and your doctor is suggesting you reduce to 50mcg because your TSH is now 0.06? Personally if i was feeling okay on the current dose i wouldnt change. Pity they didnt test your FT3 as well. May be worth getting a second opinion from another GP if you are concerned. Im not of course medically trained in any way...just a fellow hypothyroid sufferer!
Hi lc1973
Thanks for your reply I am thinking along the same line as you and still taking 3 tablets I only saw the doc 2 days ago and got the impression he wasn't up to speed with thyroid concerns.
I will see another GP to get their opinion if only to find out why they asked me to come in.
I'll let you know what happens with that...
