I have just started taking Levo and try to take it in the morning. However, I find I am running out of time before having to leave for work to be able to leave the appropriate gap before taking my other Meds and then breakfast and am ending up either not having breakfast or having it but not leaving enough time in between.
If I take at night what are the rules? I usually eat my meal around 7 - 7.30pm and go to bed around 10.30 pm . When I go to bed I usually have a drink of warm milk as I find it helps my indigestion. Could I still do this if I start taking levo at night?
Thanks.

Celiab, for maximum absorption Levothyroxine should be taken on an empty stomach 1 hour before food and drink or 2 hours after, 2 hours away from other meds and supplements, and 4 hours away from iron, calcium, vitamin D and oestrogen.
You could take a dose one hour before your milky drink.

Have you tried setting your alarm early, taking your levo with water and going back to sleep? Some people can't drop off again so it isn't for everyone, but it works for me. I leave my meds and water next to the bed and take it at 6:30am. I almost always go straight back to sleep and when I get up I can have a cup of tea immediately.
What doesn't work for me is setting the alarm an hour before I have to get up because I stress about only having an hour left in bed. But two/three hours before I have to get up works well.
I take mine as soon as I get to work in the morning, cos I can't get up early enough before breakfast! This arrangement seems to work out OK for me. Weekends are a bit more tricky!
I spent years washing it down with a cup of tea and then some shreddies. Food will affect absorption a bit, but you shouldn't get too stressed out about it. Take it when it suits you, and adjust dose likewise.
If you have just started on Levo you will probably need a dose increase in 6-8 weeks time, and if you have antibodies you may need dose increases as time goes by. Become your own thyroid expert! There is tons of information here.
