Well done. Normal pulse can be between 60 and 100.
thankyou im pleased with progress
today pulse is at 50-60 and im freezing
mandy72, maybe you need a little increase in meds. This is just a guess. If you are restricting calories it might be making you feel freezing
(a clinical symptom).
I don't know if this will be helpful:
hypothyroidmom.com/weight-l...
ive not been doing too great for a while now, normally my heart is racing unless its down to hashis im not sure
im trying to switch to NDT again as on T3 i seel that its not getting rid of hypo symptoms at all even though TSH is 0.50, when i was on NDT before i actually felt human for 8 months
I dont think im restricting calories as can eat anything i want, certain foods you can eat as much as you can fit in, the only real thing i have stopped is bread because of the high syns, i think its called 'food optimising' but i will read the link
Well done on your weight loss. I did Slimming World for 3 months and lost 2 1/2 stone. I guess I'm one of the lucky ones as even being hypo and getting other hypo symptoms still seem to be able to lose weight if I try hard diet (sensibly I mean like on Slimming World). I missed bread but ate loads of vegetables, fruit and wholemeal pasta and brown rice (this was before I went gluten free) now eat brown rice pasta or quinoa pasta instead. I tended to do mainly green or vegetarian days (can't remember what they call them now) rather than the red or easy plan. I still felt rubbish whilst losing weight and afterwards though GP kept saying I'd feel better if I lost weight but I didn't. That was all before I knew much about being hypo though.
Stick with it, probably took me a month to get into the swing of it. Loved not having to calorie count and the need to hardly weigh or measure any food out.
i cant beleive how much we are allowed to eat
i am doing much more fruit and veg, even had stir fry with carrot and im not a fan of carrots
im quite lucky really as my son runs the group, i know hes there to help anyone in the group but i dont feel bad texting or calling for help
The recipe books are worth getting as well, give you loads of ideas and the portions huge, enough to fill up my partner whose not on a diet and who has a huge appetite!
i keep debating on getting them, i might get one and have a look
I had the 50 free green recipes that I used the most (they do a meat version as well). Good luck Oh you can sometimes pick them up quite cheaply on Amazon, just some of the older ones might do syns differently or points, can't remember. I found I rarely needed to use my syns as I have no will power for treats etc I do better having no treats at all as just want to eat the lot instead of just one etc.
ill look on amazon, i allways check for syns anyway, i did have pizza as a treat last night but felt awful so now decided if i have enough syns on weigh in night ill have a chocolate bar as a treat (i got the choc lovers box for christmas and have 16 bars left lol)
i do like the hi fi bars but at £1.95 for 5 its a bit pricey when theres 2 here eating them and some of them you can have 2 as a healthy extra but they do kill the sweet craving
Hi Mandy
My family's favourite is roasted red or green peppers sprayed with fry light stuffed with cous cous small amount of cheese on top with salad.
Sugar free jelly lots of that and Cadburys Freddie Frogs £1 a packet from Poundland was part of my sins.
The best thing I feel is that you can log onto slimming world and get all their recipes' without buying the books.
My consultant used to give out gold stars to anyone that lost 2Ib or more. So even if you did not reach a achievement award you where always hoping to get a gold star to go on your book.
Please keep us up to date with how you are getting on .

well done you mandy , just remember that if you make targets and don't reach them -- you will go into ' depressive mode ' ..... forget that just think what you have don AND achieved so far ..... its a long and winding road [ as the beatles said ] ..... you will get there ..... we will all be cheering you on and praising you all the way .......alan xx
