Dina 7, now you've had your teeth fillings changed and stopped the toxicity, do you or can you now eat gluten? I've just looked at the link. The wheat in fields round here is of the taller variety, certainly not only 12-18".  Also the French eat bread with every meal, well baguette, made freshly and perhaps 2-3 daily of course! Sorry this reply is 4 months after your post. There do seem to be some links between this post and mine put before e weekend!

I'm not sure that gluten ever was the problem.  I don't eat wheat in the UK SAMBS.  I've read 'Wheat Belly' which explains why it's toxic in the US/UK. But I do eat it in France as they've not messed with it, certainly in our part of France (Languedoc) - I've checked the bags of flour outside the boulangerie and seen they're fairly local!  I'd like to know if the wheat they use in Paris is still ok too.  Whereabouts are you in France, really glad to know you have tall wheat there!

Hi Dina, Thyroid UK admins won't agree with either of 'our takes' on Gluten, I 'don't think' !

I used to live in the Herault north of Beziers (34) in the Parc Haut Naturel Regional (I think they called it) - now I'm in the Sarthe (72) as of 2 yrs ago. and ***** wish I was NOT! Worst move ever listening to my brother and sister in laŵ, but they had their motives as I found out too late. :-(

Well my understanding is gluten is bad if you've got Hashimotos and, so far as I know, I haven't.  I just think the wheat in the UK is toxic for everyone, thyroid issues or not.  So you're lucky to be living in France (I no longer am) but so sorry to hear you gave up your place in the sun.  I can understand why you would  move to be nearer to family though, but sorry it's not worked out well.  I'm sure you've learned to listen to yourself though, and will listen to the early morning mercury whisper.
