Interesting ,and some good points, but not one word about the importance of T3, or the difficulty of having deficiency diagnosed, or the challenge of getting T3 prescribed, or the stress of achieving a therapeutic dose.
But if this article raises awareness on any level it is of value
Thank you for posting.
I like that. That's a good article to share with family and friends without overwhelming them with medical talk.

I enjoyed reading this out to my husband...all the (mostly) past symptoms to which he gave a wry smile! No mention of T3 is a big error in the article, though just getting the article out there is much needed publicity!
Interesting. I was a bit puzzled by her statement that she has a "relatively mild form of thyroid disorder" when she has Hashis's however !
And she says she takes three pills a day which suggests she is on a decent dose.
If it helps one woman out there to think "thats me!" it is worth it. It may also help the rest of us who are struggling if a friend or colleague reads it and understands part of what we go through.

I was a bit surprised at the surprise, that more younger women were being diagnosed. Whilst this may be the case, it’s possibly more about younger women not putting up with quite so much Sh1t. I have always considered myself quite ‘forward’ but never once did I think to actually challenge any medic. If I am honest, I still get tongue tied and can’t get my points put forward sensibly. NHS doctors don’t seem to put up with any discussion/challenge from patients. I grind with anger when I see those signs up everywhere now about staff not putting up with ‘aggression’. Of course they should not have to put up with aggression but that is a quite a distance from disagreeing with your GP and wondering that you are going to be struck off the list. Things I have been written in my notes with only me to disagree with. However my point of view does not count unless I agree with theirs. They have all the clout.
Anyway you know what they say “No publicity is bad publicity” so I am glad it’s being aired. Why should any young woman put up with this nonsense? Our younger selves (those of us who have gone undiagnosed for many years) would not wish it on anyone!
