Is anyone here familiar with his work?

He has a lot to say about the diet, metabolism and hormones, especially thyroid hormones. I am having some trouble getting my head around it all, and deciding if he is mad or a genius!

Why would you think he's mad?! He may not be a genius but he's certainly got the academic background and writes very, very persuasively. I agree that he writes very thought-provoking and hugely informative pieces and of particular interest if hormones are your thing!

I don't know is he mad or not, but he could be a crook. I especially don't like how he has some kind of followers/admirers that are calling themselves by his name. That gives me creeps. One thing is being well respected expert among many people, but trying to organize a sort of religion based on your personality is a completely different thing.

I like to assume that everyone has the best of intentions, so wouldn't call him a crook. And of course he isn't responsible for his adoring followers - but it does make me uncomfortable!
