Have they tested your thyroid antibodies. The only thing I can find at present seems to be connected to Graves (maybe you have hashimotos).

Does your heart speed up too? Could be blood sugar related. I'm not diabetic, but I definitely have problems with blood sugar.

I've always done this for years (have been hypoT for 20 yrs) in fact, I always seem to sweat a lot, especially at night, but whenever I have told a dr or a specialist they take no notice at all! Xxx

This happens to me the moment after I have taken my daily dose of thyroxine and lasts about 5 minutes. Weird, isn't it? Like nickysparks, I got no response from medical folk when I mentioned it other than a quiet 'mmm'.

I have suffered with this problem for many years possibly 10 yrs ?

I've yet to come to a satisfactory explanation for it .

I definitely have blood sugar problems and periodically suffer a period where I get very anxious and shaky and sweaty and my hands tremble and my legs go weak and wobbly.

As soon as it starts I know that I have to eat lots quickly and generally eat 3-4 slices of toast butter and jam and probably 2x sausage rolls .It generallt takes 2-3 hours to settle down again.

The other thing that I have noticed is my body temperature regulation is way off kilter and in th middle of the summer months I have to wear a towel soaked in cold water wrapped around my head and neck. It usually semi dries within 20 minutes ! so Temperature regulation could be part of the issue.

Lastly I have suffered with chronic urinary tract infections for the past 14 years. When these happen I get very dehydrated within days and then become very constipated for weeks no matter how much liquid I consume my body clearly cannot regulate my fluid levels and my skin goes, wrinkly including my palms ,

So possibly fluid regulation could be a contributory factor in your sweating episodes.

I always sweat buckets after my main evening meal. About 10 minutes after eating I have to sit with a wet towel around my neck and head or I feel like I'm going to catch fire.!

I'm sure that this excessive sweating is linked to Hypothyroidism directly or indirectly. I'm seeing my Endo on Weds it will be one of the things I will bring up and see what waffle and twaddle ensues
