I have been using T4 (75mcg), t3(10mcg one time a day), Erfa (terrible experience with breathing problems).....At this point I am not taking any meds since June 2015.
I dont know how are my levels at the moment... but surely very high...
My GP dont want to hear nothing about my illness, I was taking T4 and I get very hyper and she said that it was ok, and she will prescribed anti depresant but I said no.
I dont have any doctor at the moment, I was self medicating with T3 10mcg once a day, but I can´t do a normal life. I have develope an strabism in my left eye(I am 27 years old and I never had this in my life), my doctor said that is normal, excuse me but is not normal I said to her and I went out from her office..
At this point, I have like a paralysis in my left part of my body,I cant remember things,I cry every day, and I dont think I will be able to stand this situation longer..
At this point I think I have to find another doctor that will be more open minded to my illness..but here in Spain I dont have so much options, they dont know that is NTD or T3, and they only use T4...
I would like to try Naturethroid or Westhroid (I am coeliac and dairy intolerant) but I dont know how to buy it online.. from Spain, and if there is any problem with customs.
Thanks very much in advance and sorry for the long post but I really need to talk to anybody about this.
Sorry again
Thanks.

Cavalli13, you should resume 75mcg Levothyroxine and 10mcg T3 until you can get NDT which may take 21-28 days from ordering to be delivered. UK residents are allowed to import medicines including NDT for their personal use but this may not be permitted in Spain and throughout the EU. France, for instance, does not allow NDT.
If you feel hyper on a dose, skip the dose for a few days, and then restart at a slightly lower dose.
Thanks for your reply. I was taking only T3 just 10mcg, I tried first 5mcg in the morning and other 5mcg at lunchtime but I felt really bad, space out, I just wanted to sleep. Then I tried 10mcg all at once, but the thing is that any thyroid meds I take it makes me like paranoid, I dont know if this is normal... it is like if I have the same thing one and one in my head, my doctor said me that maybe I will need to take GABA but I didnt because I was afraid to take it... And it is very difficult for me to use my left hand, I cant take things properly, or I cant follow anything with my eyes or concentrate...
Sorry it feels like I am crazy, but this is my day by day, and I was normal until my doctor prescribed me the levothyroxine if I will be able to go back I will never take it..
Cavalli, it sounds to me like you might have low vitamin B12. Have you had that tested? Can you get that tested? It's very common for people with hypothyroidism to have low B12, and that will mean you are unable to use the hormone you are taking. Also, it will give you many hypo-like symptoms. Best get it tested.
I had a test in 2014 and it was 312 and my vitamin D was very low 22. I took 4000 iu vitamin d but I had never felt great on it so I left it. I dont know if it was too much or what.
And I read that you must take vitamin d with vitamin k2.
Well, you have to give these things time to work. It's not instant. How long did you take the vit D3? Your level was very low, and bound to make you feel bad in itself. Yes, you should take vit K2 with D3 because the D3 increase calcium levels, and you need the K2 to make sure the calcium goes into the bones, and not the tissues.
You could have felt bad on vit D3 because your magnesium was low - these things are all inter-connected. Try taking about 5000 vit D3 with about 100 mcg vit K2 and 400 mcg magnesium. See how you feel.
Your vit B12 was very low. If I were you, I'd take about 5000 mcg sublingual methylcobalam daily, with a good B complex (I take Thornes). 1000 is optimal for B12, and anything Under 500 can cause irrepairable neurological damage.
But remember, I'm not a doctor, this is just the fruit of my experience as a long-suffering patient.
I have been taking it like 6 months then I stopped it.
Regarding the B12 my grandmother has been tested for B12 and she was too low too and they had prescribed them B12 inyections. I am coeliac too, but I cant tolerate very well B-complex due to the niacin and you cant take B12 alone no?
If there is a possibility to ask for inyections I wil do it too.
I doubt if they'd give you injections with a level of 312 - they'd say that was well in-range.
About the B12/B complex, I'm afraid I can't answer you. I just know that the Bs need to be balanced because they all work together. What you could do is go onto the Pernicious Anemia site on HealthUnlocked, and ask them. They'll know better than me.
Oh goodness, Cavalli, you should be living life to the full at your age. I'm concerned that you feel hyper with the T4. May I ask if you have had any trauma or a huge emotional issue when all this began? I'm sure it is now. The reason I ask is that your adrenals have to kick in when difficulties happen. You've heard of fight or flight I'm sure. This uses all the resources in certain ways to contain the problem and to do this, it takes energy from the thyroid activity. In other words, it robs peter to pay paul. When you take T4 it runs into real problems with peter.
I know you feel at wit's end because most doctors have little knowledge of what is truly going on. I think this type of doctor can give you a good understanding of what may be going on and some ideas of how to progress.
Best wishes to you Cavalli. See about acquiring some hormone on your own if you can't get anywhere with the profession. Many people are doing nicely without a lot of conventional assistance. I don't know what your health system is in Spain. Can you get any blood tests done. It would be very helpful to bring up any deficiency of B12 as GG brought out, folate, iron and D so if you could find that out it would help in knowing that the hormone will work. If you have any idea if your adrenals are exhausted, you need to also work on that. As I said before and in the video they can hold back use of T4. T3 might work in small doses in the meantime.
You can make another post asking who uses Naturethroid and when they respond to you, hit the reply button and request them to PM you from where they get it. You can then get a private message as allowed on the website. Do you think Spain would interfere with the mail if you ordered it online. I used to get my T3 from Mexico as it is considered a weightloss formula so they get away with not calling it prescription only. But they have dropped the formula I order. Please try to help yourself as the brain is so affected by lack of T3 and it can get very foggy and bizarre. Keep posting here with any questions....always reliable help is available.
Yes, I know that my body and my brain are very damaged at the moment because I never have felt this way in my entire life, I am scared that although I will try to improve my symptoms (that I never have before I started using levo, all this started when I tried levo that´s the reason I am so regret and hopefully my gp will advise my first of all this issues)the brain damage and my body damage will not improve. Could this be possible?
I have had blood tests done free but they only measure your TSH and Free T4, and when I was using T3 my TSH was 3.00 so I guess that probably 10 mcg only in the morning was not enough, but I was afraid to increase my dose and I dont really know how to do it, so I decided to stopped it and now I feel better but I know that I am not a normal person...(I forgot things, my hair is falling like hell, I have strabism in my left eye, I cant hold any information, I am sooooo tired..etc)
Anyway thanks for your reply and for your time.
I thought that I will have more replies but it wasnt...jeje
