Woodstock, there is a connection between undiagnosed and undertreated hypothyroidism and tendonitis. Post your friend's thyroid results and ranges and members will advise whether she is optimally medicated.
Can you have thyroid levels in range but have generalised tendonitis o tendon pain? Just by having my arm on the table, the tendon inserts in my arm start to hurt. I've been having tendon here and there. If this continues I'm going to end up with tendonitis it different parts of my body.
The ranges are very broad and symptoms can precede abnormal results by months/years, so yes, you can, but you should also consider that tendonitis may be due to non-thyroidal issues. NHS won't usually diagnose hypothyroidism until TSH is over range, or FT4 below range but patients may experience a variety of sym[toms which may nevertheless be due to low thyroid.
If you Write a new post with your thyroid results and ranges (the figures in brackets after results) members will advise.
