Hashimotos and severe muscle spasms that won't stop

Does anyone else have neck spasms and freezing symptoms as in frozen shoulder proble who also have Hashimotos?

Doodeet, magnesium can help with muscle spasms and cramp. Buy magnesium supplements (anything except mag oxide which isn't well absorbed) and dose until bowels become loose then go back to the previous dose. You can also buy magnesium oil to spray directly to the skin and magnesium flakes or Epsom salts to put in the bath.

Thank you for the advice. I only remember to take my mag every other day so will get back on track...but was taking a mega dose when the problem started Frustrating!

Hi Doodet, have you ever had your B12 levels checked? It could be worth getting a blood test for B12, ferritin , folate & VitD. If B12 is low muscle spasm can be a symptom. I had this, plus eye twitching, and cramp, all are much better since my low B12 was diagnosed. Clutter is right about low magnesium too. Best wishes MariLiz
