Need advice please.

Hi everyone,

Looking for some advice....I live in the Glasgow area and I'm wondering if anyone can give me contact details for a private doctor who would prescribe or certify natural pigs thyroid or T3 supplements.

I've been living with Hashimoto's for the past 8 years and still don't feel well. I'm on 125mcg of levothyroxibe, yet my weight is out of control and I still display all the typical hypothyroid symptoms. I also suffer from hemochromatosis and I'm currently being treated with weekly venesections.

Does anyone know if hashimotos and hemochromatosis are related or would my hemochromatosis inhibit the levothyroxine from working properly?

I'm sorry for the rant, I'm just sick of feeling like lifes a battle. I'm 32 and I feel like a decrepit old lady at times.

Suz87, email [e-mail] for a list of member recommended private GPs. You should check with the GP whether they prescribe NDT before booking an appointment.

There is an association between Hashimoto's and haemochomatosis google.com/search?q=hashimo... One of our admin team Flower007 has recently been diagnosed and is having monthly venesection.
