Free T4

I have just had blood results back and free T4 was 13.7 with the lab range being 12-22. Also my prolactin was 3.6 with the lab range being 0-700 Is this normal does anyone know?

I don't know anything about prolactin but your t4 is just in range and should ideally be near the top. What amount of levo are you taking and how long have you been on it.?

I have all the signs of hypo thyroidism but not diagnosed but I do have a multinodular goitre. Long history of depression and anxiety.

Surely they checked your tsh too. That is normally the first thing that they do. Ask for a copy of your bloods and post in a new question. Depression and anxiety are both symptoms of hypothyroid. I wish I could help you more

yes TSh was 2.3, normal range for the lab is 0.7-4.2

2.3 is maybe too high for you. Most people are happier with a tsh of around 1 or maybe even under that. What time did you have your blood test, because early in the morning is best as the tsh is at its highest then and you have more chance of being treated..

I didn't have the blood test until about 4pm, I am going to ring the endocrine nurse helpline in the morning.

They probably won't know about the timing of the test so just ask for another one. xx
