I have been on levothyroxine for years now. My doctor recently upped my dosage from .150 to .175. I'm not sure if this is the reason for my sudden depression and my panic attacks. Please someone answer this. I'm really worried..

Hello Worried221177
Welcome to our forum and sorry to hear you are having problems.
It is hard to advise without blood test results but if your doctor has just increased your dose you may be experiencing some "hyper" symptoms which should stop as your body readjusts.
Hyper symptoms would include being hot with a racing pulse and palpitations and possibly panic attacks.
If this is how you think you feel you can drop back to your original dose of 150, wait for two days and then reintroduce the extra 25mcg of Levo on alternate days for a couple of weeks. Then up the dose to 175mcg every day.
If you post any recent blood test results complete with ranges (numbers in brackets), members will comment.
Also post any vit/iron test results as deficiencies are common in people with thyroid issues and a doctors "normal" may not be a level that members have found to be beneficial.
Hope you feel better soon,
Flower
Thank you very much for your quick response. I have a Doctor's appointment on Thursday. If they give me a blood test I will definitely post the results.
