15 months after Total Thyroidectomy (large benign hot nodule) and after much trial and effort to find the right dose of medication, here are my latest bloods:

FT3. 5.88. (3.80-6.80)

FT4. 16.7. (12.0-22.0)

TSH. 0.18. (0.27-4.20)

Currently on 100 mcg Levothyrox and 31.25 Cynomel.

T3 is just about at 75% of range and T4 at 50%. TSH is low but that is to be expected if taking T3. proportion of T4/T3 medication is 3:1. Looks pretty good to me and yes, I am feeling much better which is the main thing. Is it still too early to shout SUCCESS?..

These results would not have been possible without your help. I am thinking specially of Clutter, Shaws, GG, Humanbean and the others who, I hope, will forgive me for not mentioning them by name. My sincerest thanks go to you all!

I am a member of several other forums but HU is by far the best! All your advice has been passed on to my endo here in France, he was willing to listen and to adapt.

Tigreg, If you feel as good as your results look it's not too early to shout Success! :-D Lovely to hear of your endo's willingness to listen and act in response to your research.

Thanks for posting a success story, it's heartening for others who are still struggling.

It is such a great experience when your medication begins to gel and you get to an optimum level of hormones.

It's great you are feeling better and that your blood results are good but the best of all will be when you feel quite 'normal' and healthy. Maybe not quite 100% but as near as and you forget you're hypo.

Best wishes to you and your Endo. Getting one patient well will also open doors for his other patients.

Others on the forum will be encouraged that someone has had success.
