I wonder how this adds up with rt3 being in range but ft3 being low which indeed gives you bad ratio.

Or does it matter whether rt3 is in normal range as long as compared to rt3 it is bad ratio ?

I have been wondering lately if you need to have excess RT3 levels diagnosed before trying to do something about it? It seems very few labs in Europe offer that test, although this article says you can also measure T3 and FT3 levels and look for the ratio between the two...

It also says T4 takes about four weeks to clear from your system, and that it takes about 12 weeks to clear the excess RT3. Does that four months in total on T3 only...?!

Interesting and scary also what it says about needing a MedicAlert bracelet in case you end up unconscious while on T3 only...in which case you won't have any storage hormone.

Has anyone successfully got rid of excess RT3 using T3 only? If so, for how long, and how much T3 did you take daily?
