I have no thyroid, and on 100 mg of Levothyroxine, having a few problems with this medication, I am thinking of self medicating and going onto Thyro Gold, as my doctor will not change my medication. I am on my third doctor .
Does anyone use Thyro Gold from New Zealand ?

I'm sorry you are struggling due to having no thyroid gland at all and on 100mcg of levo. Obviously your doctors aren't keen on anything but levothyroxine.
One of our Admins, Clutter, has had a TT also so I thought you might be interested to read her Profile. Of course, she will respond when she reads your post.
It's right you expect to be well when you are on thyroid hormone replacements but some don't respond as the Endos expect but they think if our bloods are 'in range' why are we complaining. I'm sure you will feel much better on Thyro Gold and whoever has tried it will respond too.
Hi....Just read your post...I too have no thyroid and was on thyroxin. Many issues over the years.... I started taking Thyro Gold three months ago and have lost weight and feel much better.
I don't live in New Zealand...I live in the Caribbean on the island of Antigua... I have a family member purchase it for me in the US and have it shipped here. I take 3 capsules 300mg.....2 in the morning and 1 at lunch.... Where do you have to get it from....
Thyro Gold is from New Zealand, and can be purchased direct from there website, without a prescription , I have done lots of research and found very good results, the only problem is , it is quiet expensive , but I think its worth trying
Can you post recent thyroid results with lab ref ranges (the figures in brackets after your results)? 100mcg isn't a high dose, particularly for a thyroidless patient. Thyroidless patients don't always do well on Levothyroxine only, even when optimally dosed, as they lose the facility for the thyroidal T4 to T3 and have to rely on periperal tissue conversion so the addition of some oral T3 is often beneficial.
Thank you for your reply, I will get my results from the doctors tomorrow and pass them on. 3 doctors would not increase the dose as i am osteopenia , its not the lack of trying.
Creamsoda, post the results and ranges in a new question as updates get overlooked.
I have mild osteopenia which I think was probably due to early menopause, slight tall frame, low weight and vitD deficiency rather than 2 years suppressed TSH. Mine's suppressed to reduce the risk of cancer recurrence so maybe endo hasn't mentioned osteoporosis or atrial fibrillation for that reason. Or, maybe he's up to date with research which debunks low (not suppressed) TSH increasing the risks, unlike a lot of GPs.
I too had total Thyriodectomy 10 years ago. On 100 mcg of Thyroxine. All was fine up until 4 years ago when I had lots of pressure and stress with my late Mum's illness. My dosage was increased to 100 mcg from 75mcg and 100 mcg on alternate days.
Never really felt well since then. Have suffered depression and anxiety. I constantly go down with viruses, and am so sick of feeling rubbish all the time. I just want my life back.
What is Tyroid gold ?
Hi..Yes me!!!! I have been on it three weeks now...am noticing that I am getting more better days than rubbish ones!!! I am building g up my dose as advised..very gradually...I returned to work today..I do a very physical job..I was on a phased return..so I just did three hours..that was enough...I don't feel quite as ill as I used to..I also think I have an adrenal problem...which I am trying to address.. I am sorry i I haven't read all the other replies but feel free to ask about info if you like on Thyro Gold.
Thanks creamsoda12 it's early days..apparently as there are different NDT brands and some contain more fillers than others for e,g, Thyro Gold has a couple where others have many some have to find the right brand for them..not many mention Thyro Gold..am not sure why but many do well on it...
