Ashwagandha ( withania somnifera)

Just wondering if anyone uses, or has used it ? I have read Dr Kharrazian book ' Why do I still have thyroid symptoms ....." He states that this herb has been shown to have a stimulatory impact on both T3 and T4 hormone synthesis.

Any experience , thoughts greatly appreciated 😃

A lot of people take ashwaghanda and like it. However, I seem to be in a minority of one. It gives me dreadful stomach pain.

It's probably to do with whether you are TH-1 or TH-2 dominant humanbean.

There are sups that upset me terribly but I'm not sure about ashwaghanda.

I think I'm TH-1, although it is possible to have both pathways dominant.

I've seen references to TH1/TH2 dominance, but I've never read anything on the subject before. So I can safely say your link went right over my head. I'll spend some time on it, and hope that some sinks in.

Haha, it is really interesting humanbean.

If you can work out what dominance you have, you can match supplements that will help balance the helper cells activity.

Another member claims there is a blood test available on the national health so I will remain hopeful.

I am still investigating this topic but can provide lots more links if you require.
