I have under active Thyroid and after 5 years have finally been referred to see the endocrinology consultant.
I swing from hypo to hyper. I have low readings of Vit B, folic acid etc.
My daily dosage is 150mg of Levo. Have just had scans of my thyroid, haven't been informed of the results yet. it was 2 weeks now, and now i need to have a synacthen test.
My weight is out of control, soooo tired. I physically hurt and ache, bowl movements not good!! hair coming out in clumps, good job i have lots of hair can cry at the drop of a hat. Was gluten free for 2 years and it did nothing but make me more miserable. Blood pressure is low and i keep passing out, then its high and i have to 'rest'.
Is there anything i should be asking to see, to know.........

Hi Sugarbuttons. I hope you have better luck with the endo. I would gather together all your blood test results from the GP so far (you can ask for printouts). I'd put them into a spreadsheet or chart with dates and symptoms at the time of testing, if you can remember them. It's useful to post them here too as members are very good at spotting links that GPs miss. Always add the 'normal' ranges as these vary between labs.
If you don't have any luck with the endo I can point you in the direction of a good private one in London. It's £300 for the first appointment but (because he mainly works in the NHS) your GP will hopefully follow his recommendations and you may not need any further appointments with him.
