Are you still seeing the same endo from before?
Are you able to get TRAb, TPO and TG antibodies tested?
Best wishes.
Hi ,ling thanks for your reply every time I have an appointment I do meet a different endo.Trab and TPO antibodies were tested last year in January TRAB results were<0.4 range was (0-0.4) and TPO results were 35 range was upto 34
Samy,
Antibodies fluctuate all the time. In your case, I think these should be tested each time you have a blood test. Maybe in this way, your thyroid status can be tracked.
Perhaps you should try getting a second opinion at a different healthcare institution, if you've not done so already.
Or you could try writing to Elaine Moore if you've not done so. U could get her opinion, which might help point u in a direction as to what's going on.
However, you should preferably have all your blood test results with the ranges so she has an idea of what's been happening to you over the last several years.
If u decide to write to Elaine, please note that she is currently undergoing treatment for cancer, and has just started chemotherapy. Her replies will be slower but she still checks in.

Ultrasound shows areas of damage consistent with autoimmune attacks thyroiditis. Transient hyper is common in initial stages as the thyroid tissue releases their hormones stores causing a surge. This might explain why you were given antithyroid temporarily.
There an overlap with antibodies, TPO & TGAB are most associated with Hashi under active while TSI & TRAB are highest in Graves. All types of antibodies can have elevation in both autoimmune conditions and they can also appear absent as they fluctuates so greatly. They are useful for diagnosis but doctors do not know how to treat them.
Your current FT4 is 37.78% though range so lower end. Do you have TSH & FT3?
Results in range will not prompt treatment from a doctor. Continue to monitor as likely to trend downward.
Are you familiar with the times & best method to test? What’s required for a full thyroid function. Know to avoid biotin prior to test?
Suggest you get FULL thyroid and vitamin testing done
For full Thyroid evaluation you need TSH, FT4 and FT3 plus both TPO and TG thyroid antibodies tested.
Also EXTREMELY important to test vitamin D, folate, ferritin and B12
When were vitamin levels last tested
IMPORTANT To stop any vitamin supplements that contain biotin a week before ALL BLOOD TESTS
Low vitamin levels are extremely common, especially with autoimmune thyroid disease (Hashimoto’s or Ord’s thyroiditis)
Recommended on here that all thyroid blood tests should ideally be done as early as possible in morning and before eating or drinking anything other than water .
This gives highest TSH, lowest FT4 and most consistent results. (Patient to patient tip)
Is this how you do your tests?
Private tests are available as NHS currently rarely tests Ft3 or all relevant vitamins

If TPO or TG thyroid antibodies are high this is usually due to Hashimoto’s (commonly known in UK as autoimmune thyroid disease).
About 90% of all primary hypothyroidism in Uk is due to Hashimoto’s. Low vitamin levels are particularly common with Hashimoto’s. Gluten intolerance is often a hidden issue to.

Hi Slow Dragon thanks for your reply blood test was fasting one early in the morning and I wasn't taking any vitamins containing biotin months before
So you now need FULL thyroid and vitamin testing
Just TSH and Ft4 tells you nothing
Hi Slow Dragon GP andendo has tested my vitamin dwhichwas 113 ..b12 was 783... ferritin was 70 before then came down to 29 so I'm supplementing folic acid was low I'm takingfolic acid aswell TSH was 1.93 ..and T4 was 14.6
What’s the range on Ft4 and TSH
Was test done as early as possible in morning before eating or drinking anything other than water
Ft4 looks likely low in range
Ferritin is storage form of iron
29 is low ….ideally GP should do full iron panel test for anaemia
Low folate. So GP prescribed folic acid?
Low vitamin levels tend to lower TSH
Obviously you need TSH, Ft4 and Ft3 tested together once all four vitamins are at GOOD levels
Ranges for T4 are (11.2-20.2)and for TSH it was (.27-4.2) I always do fasting blood test as early as possy mostly before 9am without eating except drinking water GP did nt prescribed any folic acid I bought it over the counter myself same with iron...SlowDragon I need an advice can I try metavive 111 just to see how I feel I forgot to mention sorry I have few nodules and cysts on my thyroid aswell I get low blood sugar symptoms but every time I get tested for diabetes it's normal what you think does metavive help people like me who are not on any thyroid medication have asked these endos so many times out trying some sort of medication like thyroxine but they always look at bloods this time when I had ultrasound done the Dr who did ultrasound said because of inflammation patients do get symptoms si did ask her what you think of Tring small dose of thyroxine she said I don't know whether it will help but she said there is another medication which she said is NDT and other forms
Working on improving low vitamin levels is first step
Then get FULL Thyroid and vitamin testing in 6-8 weeks
Come back with new post once you get results
Rather than just taking folic acid
supplementing a good quality daily vitamin B complex, one with folate in (not folic acid) may be beneficial.
This can help keep all B vitamins in balance
Difference between folate and folic acid
chriskresser.com/folate-vs-...
B vitamins best taken after breakfast
Thorne Basic B is an option that contain folate, but is large capsule. You can tip powder out if can’t swallow capsule
Igennus Super B is good quality and cheap vitamin B complex. Contains folate. Full dose is two tablets per day. Many/most people may only need one tablet per day. Certainly only start on one per day (or even half tablet per day for first couple of weeks)
IMPORTANT......If you are taking vitamin B complex, or any supplements containing biotin, remember to stop these 7 days before ALL BLOOD TESTS , as biotin can falsely affect test results
endo.confex.com/endo/2016en...
You don’t want to consider starting any thyroid replacement hormones at moment
Getting FULL thyroid testing is next step
Then one in picture is the recent one done last month GP won't do it again and lab rejects the T3 BCS GP did request that in blood form
Well you will obviously need to test privately
NHS rarely tests Ft3, even for patients prescribed T3
Madness
Getting fed up feeling like this anymore I don't know where else to go my GP is supportive but he cannot prescribe anything BCS of blood results and saying I'm under the endocrine department but endos every appointment they just look at the blood results not the symptoms I been going through even sonographer said that BCS of the inflammation patients get symptoms but blood results comes normal
