I am new here as wanted to understand this condition a little better. I was diagnosed 3 years ago and take 175mg of thyroxine. My doctors are basically terrible and have not equipped me any info of my blood results. I am severly overweight. 5"6 female weighing in at 15.7stone. I have a humongous appertite and suffer severe fatigue. However have 3 horses so am really quite active.
I guess what i am really hoping to achieve is gain some info on how i can bring my weight down to a healthy level and manage this condition.

Ask your GP receptionist or practice manager for a printout of your last results with the lab ref ranges and post them in a new question when you have them. Members will advise whether you appear to be optimally medicated. Being overmedicated can increase hunger but being undermedicated will make it hard to lose weight even with exercise and calorie control.
