Would you be able to help me out, I don't understand the results of my blood work that just came back today. I'm currently talking 300 eltroxin. I have been up and down over the last 6 years and beer really been regulated in that time. I was starting to feel a little more human again less sleepy being one of the main improvements. Anyway the nurse told me I have to cut back now to 250. Feel so depressed over it all.
Here's some of my results any thoughts please or advise would be most welcomed thank you 😊

24/03/14. Tsh 1.06. T4 15.7
02/09/14. Tsh 1.31. T4 16.5
10/02/15. Tsh 27.20. T4 12.5
20/07/15. Tsh 0.05. T4 30.4

Sleepymummy, you are overmedicated because FT4 is high. Top of range is usually around 22 or 24. I think a reduction to 250mcg seems appropriate. High FT4 sloshes around unconverted and can make you feel very unwell.
Have you been tested for thyroid peroxidase antibodies? Hashimoto's can cause large TSH fluctuations. What dose where you on when TSH was 27 in Feb?
Cutter the ironic thing is I was feeling like I had more energy and felt better than I had in ages and ages... The only thing that had got worse was that I was sweating a lot on my face and back of my neck and into my hairline. Looked like someone through a glass of water at me. No I haven't been tested for Prexoidase antibodies but will ask my gp if she will run that test next. I'm not sure what dose I was in back in February probably around 200-250 or there abouts, it never stays the same and always seems to fluctuate so much.
Ok that's good 👍 I just don't know what else to do other than to now go Private to see an endo I'm sick of going backwards and forwards to gp's and they just don't understand or listen to how I'm feeling.
I would ask your GP, as suggested by Clutter, for an antibodies test and I would suggest also a Free T3 blood test. You want to know if you're converting T4 (levo) to sufficient T3 maybe that's why you don't feel so good if your FT3 is low because your dose of T4 is high. She may not agree but maybe get your own FT3 before going private. Some have paid out money and found they're still unwell with no progress, so you'd have to check out a good Endo before making appointment.
Ok thanks so much shaws I will go to see my gp armed with all this invaluable info! I have learnt more here from this site since I joined it than I have from my doctor 😊 one last thing I have just come across some posts on NDt what are your thoughts on this treatment? I have heard it is meant to be very hard to get prescribed ihere in Ireland and that you have a better chance of loosing weight gained since being dx hypothyroid compared to being on Levo
