Burning feet: Hi does anyone out there suffer... - Thyroid UK
Burning feet
I just looked this up, and burning feet can be due to several reasons mainly linked to neuropathy... Which can be caused by,.. Low thyroid levels, High blood sugar levels - diabetes., low b12 levels. ( plus quite a few others... See the list in the link below)
Have you had all of these tested? What are your results? In my experience Doctors often leave sugar, thyroid and b12 at sub optimal levels.

It may be helpful if you could write more information on your Profile so everyone can read when you post. This prevents having to ask too many questions in order to give advice.
What are your latest thyroid levels ? Do you have the results with ranges ?
Could it be B12 ?....
Never been given any results will ask for them in future after reading replays. I had hyperthyroidism and was given rail as it wasn't being controlled with medication. Since then have been on a variable amount of leno at present 100 mg daily with an extra 25mg every third day. Never had bit levels taken. Don't know why hood played up in first place no-one ever mentioned graves. I'm afraid that I Have not been very active in my treatment but since reading this site will try harder. Trouble is I hate going to GPS always come away feeling. I've been wasting their time. Also in group practice never see same GPS twice. First time ever asked question but was so miserable this morning after no sleep sorry
Hi there, yes I had that it went eventually with plenty of b12 injections.
Ive hashimotos hypothyroidism and pernicious anaemia.
Hope you get your b12 tested.
take care now
Can sympathise. Mine were red and burning. Addition of T3 greatly improved it. Diabetics can also get this problem - so I would check if yr blood glucose levels are OK. Blood glucose issues in turn can be linked to the adrenals so may be worth checking out.
The document linked below is useful as it gives an overview of many casues of burning feet:

It is very easy to assume thyroid - and that is quite possible - but there are other possibilities.
A little way behind the big toe ,on the sole, is associated with the thyroid in reflexology, and after the toe end with the pituitary.
I used to get it before, when my thyroid was undertreated, but now I take Armour on top of the thyroxine from the g.p. and no longer have the problem. Best of luck
Taking T3 fixed my feet quite quickly. I never saw a GP about my burning feet, but I always assumed it was plantar fasciitis.
