Hi there

Im 24 and was diagnosed with MPHD when i was about 5. Im taking growth hormone ,thyroxine and hydrocortazone and ive been taking that since 5. But as ive gotten into my twentys im feeling extremley tired all the time and very weak. My emotions are changing every day and feeling quite depressed. I kno these are all symptoms of my condition but i figured my meds would balance this and make me feel better. Anyone else feeling same way?

I'm sorry you haven't had a reply earlier. If you could post your recent thyroid results with the lab ref ranges members will be able to advise whether you are optimally medicated.

If you have had ferritin, vitamin D, B12 and folate tested please also post the results. If not, it may be worth asking your GP to test them as low/deficient levels are common in hypothyroid patients and they can cause musculoskeletal pain, fatigue and low mood similar to hypothyroid symptoms.

It could well be that folk, like me, simply don't know what MPHD is..

I will go google... (guessing it's a pituitary disorder-my Dad had acromegaly so I never dismiss a connection).

Our members can only (usually) help regarding the thyroid hormone-side of things,

but if you have some recent blood tests (with ranges) folk can comment.

As for feeling tired, weak, depressed yes they're major symptoms we share.
