Concerned or relieved?...

So i've just been back after latest bloods due to bad aches and pains since january. Its come back that theres still the same level of inflammation as previous but also low vit D. Shes prescribed vit D 800units daily and i have to go back in a couple of weeks for more bloods. After which if still no improvement she'll be referring me to a rheumatologist. In a way i'm glad its not in my head but also a worried as to where this is heading as she indicated she didnt think the vit D is linked to the inflammation. I just dont know what to think or do?x

Maddy, What level was your vitD? 800iu is an infant dose and unlikely to be very helpful.

A month ago your TSH was 3.5. That is plenty high enough to cause significant musculoskeletal pain and fatigue which your GP is ascribing to fibromyalgia. Low vitD will make it worse. Was your Levothyroxine increased to bring your TSH lower? Most people are comfortable with TSH just above or below 1.0.

Have you been supplementing B12 as previously advised?

Vitamin D supplementing got my labs to 100, and still no change in symptoms. Autoimmune Disease causes low levels of vitamin d.
